1976. Marjorie Clyde is getting married... again. Arriving at Madame Tattler’s Boutique for an appointment with the famed dressmaker herself, the doubtful bride-to-be is embraced into a world of glamour and perfection, until the arrival of her feuding children makes the experience tense: the uptight and idealistic Evelyn, and her older brother Jude, a young gay activist with little time for his family’s dramatics. Amidst the unseen movements of a familiar-looking shop mannequin and the revelation of a scandalous secret, the family are seduced by the promise of a better life together, all the while something strange and sinister waits for them in the halls below.

At once a twisty, tragic melodrama and a blood-red slice of the supernatural, ‘Boutique’ explores a family at the brink of collapse and unearths a love story from the darkest of places.
