The Romans have held Britain in an uneasy occupation for 100 years. By courting feeble Celtic kings and turning the local tribes against each other they have managed to extend their rule – and now they lay claim to the lands of Prasutagus, the dead king of the Iceni. But his widow, the exiled queen Boudica, has returned to claim her land. Her quest for revenge will set her on a path of rebellion, violence and destruction. Once the wheels of war start turning, there is no way to stop them – but how far is too far?
